Have you ever said “There are no good bucks on public land?” Or “Public land in Michigan is a waste of time.” If you have, these pictures may change your mind.
After hiking for miles through public land in Southwest Michigan and leaving 4 trail cameras out for 6 weeks, we are delighted with what we have found at one of the locations. A steady stream of bucks passing through, moving from field to heavy cover in the morning and even wandering around in the middle of the day!
Here’s to hoping one or two of these deer stick around for the season!

Have you found success scouting and/or hunting public land? If so, share your stories with us (without giving away your honey hole)! Be sure to check your local regulations before leaving a trail camera on public land. Good luck out there!
